How We Work
Step 1: The
first step in the design process is to visit our
showroom and meet with a member of our professional
design staff. An appointment is recommended so we
can dedicate some time reviewing our product
offerings and viewing a portfolio of some of our
recent projects. It is a good idea to have a budget
in mind and some general ideas of your wants and
needs. We will also discuss the scope and time
frame of your project. If you can provide us with
reasonably accurate dimensions of your space, we can
often generate preliminary cost estimation at no
charge.
Step 2: The
next step is an in-home consultation. We will
measure the space, and inspect for any special
requirements. This is also a great opportunity to
discuss any likes or dislikes of the current space.
Step 3:
This is the all-important design development stage.
Your designer will implement the agreed-upon
direction for design and create a preliminary scaled
floor plan and specific project costing. The
designer will invite you back to our showroom for a
presentation and discussion of the design
offered. We will also entertain any questions that
you may have.
Step 4: Services
beyond this point would include revising the floor
plans, creating elevation drawings and possibly
ordering materials.
Step 5: Upon
your approval of drawings and specifications, your
designer will have you complete contractual
documents. These include specification of all
agreed-upon products and services for your
project. We will also discuss your schedule and
completion of your project.
-
Fees
Step 1:
No charge
Steps 2 – 5:
A design retainer fee is applicable for these
extended services that are determined by the size
and scope of your project. This fee will be
credited from your contract price if you decide to
proceed with the project.
